DFC is a dance competition/challenge for all dancers, from anywhere!
All styles are allowed, all ages and all levels. Our sections are; pre-beginner, beginner, intermediate & senior, which makes it able for everyone to have a fair chance.
Our awards: Silver (79% and lower), Gold (80-84%), Platinum (85-89%) & Diamond (90-100%)
All dancers that receive a Platinum or Diamond qualify to represent the South African team Internationally at Talent Inc.
All dancers compete against themselves, as there won’t be sectional placings, there will only be overall age group placings, out of all the sections and styles. There will also be overall winners for each dance style, another trophy that we brought into DFC to make the challenge more fun, is the “Most Spirited Studio” trophy. We also give out special awards chosen by the judge(s), and our last award given out at the Finale Prize Giving at the end of the event is the “Overall Highest Score”, this trophy goes to the item that received the highest mark in the whole competition.
All dancers receive a score sheet handwritten by the judge(s), participation medal and certificate (emailed to all dance studio’s).
